About CLODER

Cooperation for Regional Development - CLODER, is a non-profit organization under Congolese law that supports regional development in rural and urban context. Created in South Kivu (in the DR Congo), CLODER has been active in the Eastern Congo since 2008. We are a great and dynamic team of volunteers implementing ideas to transform lives of the most vulnerable children and create change within their communities.

We believe that Congolese communities can develop entrepreneurial solutions to any problem when they have access to resources. This passes by working closely with people living in poverty and exclusion, community-based organizations, social movements and supporters. Together, we are campaigning to mobilize resources, running basic programs to provide social services to achieve our vision of building just, productive and resilient communities.

Our Mission

We work to ending injustice. We save lives and protect populations in hazard or in emergency situations. "Improving life of rural and urban communities" is one of our traditional actions. Working to promote community-based development initiatives and strengthening resilience to end poverty allows us to anticipate disaster that face most of vulnerable people.

To achieve our goals, we work with the poorest people, with a focus onchildren, women and their communities. We create additional cooperation at local level by offering hope and a road to social and economic maturity for the poorest.

Our Vision

Communities without poverty where each person enjoys a right life. Where each people are educated, finds employment and makes income. A community or everyone catalyzes his efforts towards building of "a society that respects human dignity”. CLODER members, staff and donors share this vision. CLODER's partner of choice for community action is the local population who share this vision.
